“The staff at Halo Housing have helped and supported me, it’s the second time in my life that I’ve been able to live somewhere for more than 3 years and it’s helped me with consentience, I’ve been moving about all over and at times moved twice a year but these last 3 years have been fabulous.

When I moved to the property it was a massive relief, I was able to move on with my life and look forward to the future.  Halo Housing have been lovely to me and helped me with my future and to go out safely, it has helped with my health.  My flat is lovely, it was something that I never thought I could have but I’m really enjoying it and it’s helping me to become more independent. I’ve been able to do more things in the community like help people with Autism.  For all the help that Halo Housing have given me, I would like to say thank you so much, it’s given me a massive lift and I would like to give something back to them, by helping them with other tenants and help to improve Halo Housing.  I volunteered as a Board Member, as I know how important it is to have Halo Housing helping and supporting people especially for vulnerable people.  It gives you a big lift and to have them there along with your carers is very important, it’s one of the best services that I’ve had and it helps to take the anxiety away from people.   When there’s been a concern the Hao Housing Staff have been there for me and have given me reassurance that everything’s going to be ok and it’s helped me to stay calm.  For example this year I got trapped in my bedroom and usually I would be panicking but I knew that by contacting Halo Housing they would help me, so I was calmer that day then when I joined them because they are very understanding , especially with people with Autism which is very important.  I’ve struggled to find people that understand Autism so to have the staff at Halo Housing that understand helps me a lot.”
